Ever buy a new iMac between May and July 2011 with a 1TB Seagate HDD? Well, according to Apple, some of those iMacs might be prone to failing. It's ok though, Apple has come to the rescue with a replacement program to replace the faulty drives with no cost. Registered owners of the potentially faulty machines are being notified by email, but you can always check the serial number on Apple's website (link below). After confirming your eligibility, you will be able to drop off your iMac at an Apple store, or authorized service center for the swap. Backing up your drive before bringing it in is suggested, making it a great time to test out that new Thunderbolt port, right?
